Chuck Marohnic and Sanctuary Jazz Update
Greetings,
I've been busy with the ministry, Sanctuary Jazz with trips to Albuquerque, Orlando, Omaha, Kansas City and Chicago.
We have several new recordings and also a DVD soon to come out. I am now calling my concerts, The Sanctuary Jazz Experience. It is offered in both trio and solo piano formats with music, meditations, readings and musings.
Music Serving the Word Ministries is offering our new playalong recording as MP3 download with PDF files of the written music. People have been responding nicely to the easy way to get new music. If interested, check out the Products page at http://www.musicservingtheword.org/products.aspx
I just returned from Music Serving the Word Ministries studio in Carefree, AZ where I recorded a new trio CD with bassist Dwight Kilian and drummer Dom Moio. While there, we did a worship service at Asbury United Methodist Church and also concerts there and at Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ where I served as Director of Music for the Studio Worship service for 5 years.
I'm happy to say I am still Associate Director of Music for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Community. The part-time position is perfect and allows time to travel to other churches. Having said that, I'll be traveling to Vero Beach, FL and Columbus, OH in August. At both churches, I will play for the worship service and do a Sanctuary Jazz Experience concert in the evening.
Also, I recently joined Facebook. I thought it was a "kid" thing, but have found it fun to reconnect with old friends and students. Drop me a line on Facebook!
